Our commitment to Growing
Metal Depot, formerly J&D Recyclers, has been in business serving the Durham, NC and surrounding areas since 1999. During that time we have worked tirelessly to help our customers obtain the best value for their ferrous and non-ferrous metals and to find the highest quality recycled metals and building materials from our large inventory.
We take pride in the fact that, as our customers’ needs have grown, we have grown our business to meet them.
Our customers made it clear they needed a reliable source for new metals. We now have a large stock of new metals in house, including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel, in a variety of shapes and forms. If we do not have something available at our warehouse, our knowledgeable and courteous staff can order and begin stocking it to fulfill customers’ needs.
When our customers needed metal fabrication services, we expanded to offer those, too.

Owned and operated by the same family you have come to know since 1999, Metal Works offers high quality metal fabrication services to the Durham, NC area. We do this by combining the best customer service with knowledgeable staff.
We work closely to understand your metal fabrication project. Communicating directly one-on-one with customers at every step of the project, the staff at Metal Works is able to product the highest quality finish product.
Services offered by Metal Works
The metal fabricators at Metal Works are knowledgeable enough to do any project. We can provide repair services, from minor repairs of broken welds to more extensive repairs of dump truck refloors and trailer rebuilds. We also utilize our state-of-the-art equipment to do full builds. We have built equipment for businesses, including ladder racks and custom work benches, or for fun, such as aluminum dog boxes and grills to impress your friends.
We have the ability to use our hydraulic and electric shears, plasma torches, vertical mill, horizontal lathe, CNC plasma table, oxy-acetylene-torches, 90-ton iron worker, and drill presses to properly work the material for whatever the job calls for.

Using our full stock of new metals, Metal Works can complete repair, rebuild or full build metal projects. This stock includes steel, aluminum, and stainless steel metals in a variety of structural forms, in addition to full sticks.
